As well as advice on navigating the NHS, Dr Flint can answer some of the very common questions asked such as what to do if a parent suspects that their child may have ADHD or autism, as well as what to do if someone is worried that their elderly parent may be developing dementia. Please note that this an advice session of up to 50 minutes and not a treatment session.

Richard is a former city employment law partner with 20 years of experience in professional services. In 2011 he suffered a major anxiety related breakdown resulting in him being hospitalised and taken several years of work. He now works with Byrne Dean to promote kinder, fairer, more productive workplaces.

Charlotte is the author and illustrator of the book May The Thoughts Be With You. Charlotte started writing and illustrating positive thoughts and messages while suffering with depression. Now recovered, her book is a global best-seller and she has a weekly positive thinking column in The Evening Standard. Charlotte will talk about her journey through depression, offer her tips on how to become well again, and more importantly, give advice on how she maintains good mental health.

In this workshop Tamara will provide a high-level overview of “mindfulness” in society. Busting mindfulness myths, she will share a neurocognitive model of mindfulness. A applied practice that you can take away and implement immediately will be used to illustrate key learning points.

Chaired by Geoff McDonald (Minds@Work). Geoff will be joined by Jonny Benjamin, James Ski, Hope Virgo and Chair of Headscape, UBS’ mental health group Lyssa Barber to look at the challenges we face as well as the success stories when addressing the barriers to reducing stigma in the work place.
